5. Checking a scale
The scale verification described in this article consists in comparing the error with the selected tolerance, without taking the uncertainty into account. The uncertainty can be determined by following the instructions given in the article
[P 1 734]
. It enables you to calculate the minimum weight of your scale.
The choice of standards must include the tolerance to be justified, in line with the maximum permissible errors set for scale use:
