Absorption spectrophotometry in the ultraviolet and visible range

Spectrophotometry is used in many fields: chemistry, pharmaceuticals, the environment, agri-food, biology, etc., both in laboratories and on industrial sites. The possibilities offered by multivariable analysis, which allows the analysis of several components while limiting spectral or physicochemical interference, have opened up new applications, particularly for industrial analysis. In the pharmaceutical industry, many drug dissolution tests are performed using UV-VIS absorption spectrophotometry. The same is true for the food industry. The procedures are codified and described on the websites of organizations such as Pharmacopeia (USP and EUP,...
