Dielectric Spectroscopy Applied to Polymers

In polymers, electronic conduction is often observed at low temperatures (T < T _g ) with T _g corresponding to the polymer's glass transition temperature. This conduction can be achieved by a site-to-site hopping mechanism (a site is defined as a potential well as shown in figure 13 ). For example, in isotactic polyethylene, the conduction mechanism is provided by the electron coming from the double bonds
