4. Conclusion

In this issue, we present the finite element method for low-frequency electromagnetic problems. In the first part, we reviewed the various formulations commonly used in the continuous domain and possible approaches for imposing source terms. We then introduced the weighted residual method, which allows us to obtain a weak form of the problem solution. At this stage of our development, an analysis of the properties of the solutions was carried out (verification in the strong and weak sense) depending on the formulation chosen. We then presented the Whitney elements that enable the natural discretization of fields in the space of nodal elements, edges, facets and volumes. We then developed the discrete form of potential formulations that lead to a matrix system.
