The article
has been used to synthesize the main thyristor switch structures. The method used consists in modeling the input and output electrical networks by perfect current and voltage sources:
On the AC side, the converter sees a perfect sinusoidal AC voltage source, either single-phase or three-phase;
on the DC side, the converter sees a perfect DC source, reversible in voltage and unidirectional in current.
