2. PZT ceramics
The vast majority of ceramics are titano-lead zirconate alloys, available in monolithic or multilayer forms. In the former case, they are obtained by mixing powders sintered in molds to produce simple shapes onto which electrodes are then deposited. In the second case, the powders are mixed with a binder to produce a paste which is deposited on a film. Strips are then cut. The free face is then electroplated. The final step is stacking, pressing and sintering
