2. Sliding-mode controls for dynamic performance

Figure 4 shows an architecture with two loops. A fast loop uses a dynamic indicator representing the evolution of the converter's operating point. Here, the chosen parameter is the output current (inductance), or even the output current ripple. A slower loop is used to compensate for the output voltage, to correct its dependence on the output current due to the load and the converter's dynamic output impedance.
