2. Voltage inverter structures with redundancy: classification and comparisons
In order to create additional degrees of freedom independent of source and load, redundancy approaches are rapidly becoming essential. In converters, redundancy will be defined as the duplication of identical elements forming a repetition in parallel and/or series form, which can take several forms: power switches and/or switching cells and/or elementary conversion structures and, as a last resort, the multiplication of sources and loads.
