Conventions and notations
We adopt a receiver-type electrical convention and a motor-type mechanical convention. Positive powers therefore correspond to electrical powers absorbed or mechanical powers supplied.
The angles considered in the angular location of a point or a moving object in space are mechanical angles, oriented trigonometrically (counter-clockwise).
Finally, for the study of the rotating synchronous machine, we consider a three-phase cylindrical topology with p pairs of poles. Space and supply harmonics are neglected, and the study is limited to the fundamental.
