6. Auxiliary equipment
To operate, plasma torches require five auxiliary pieces of equipment.
6.1 Generators
To stabilize the arc, whose voltage (U)–current (I) characteristic generally decreases (dU/dI < 0), especially when the current is low, the torches are supplied with direct current from a power source that maintains a constant current regardless of the voltage and its variations.
