2.1 Switching cell
As mentioned in the introduction, the basic element in any voltage inverter structure is a switching cell with special properties, which we'll now describe in more detail.
SCROLL TO TOPVoltage inverters are "direct voltage-to-current" converters fed by a DC voltage source, which is generally reversible in terms of current, at least instantaneously (electrochemical capacitor, for example), and which can in turn supply AC voltage to loads with "current source" behavior.
