Electricity generation by nuclear power plants

A nuclear power plant for electricity generation is first and foremost a thermal power plant, consisting of a boiler, a system for transporting the energy produced in the boiler (which may comprise one, two or three circuits) and an electricity generation system. The latter requires a cold source and sends the electricity to the grid (figure 1 ).
