5. Application examples
The examples concern the study of an electromagnetic actuator and a magnetoforming system respectively. These devices are powered by capacitor discharge.
5.1 Electromagnetic actuators
Examples of actuators include :
the electromagnetic hammer used for pile driving;
the jackhammer ;
the hammer-driver used for taking samples at sea;
the drilling rig for jacking and digging.
