2. Materials used in insulated cables

2.1 Driving souls

Insulated cable cores are made from annealed electrolytic copper or 3 / 4 hard drawn aluminum [49]. International specifications for these metals are set out in French standards NF C 30-010 for copper and NF C 31-122 for aluminum.
