2. Components of a hydroelectric scheme
Whether high, medium or low head (and with the exception of water turbines and tidal power plants), hydroelectric schemes all feature more or less the same types of components. Figure 3 describes the components of the Brassac scheme, an overview of which is given in figure 1.
