The design of CNG stations requires the customer to recruit engineers experienced in CNG station design, or to call on the services of a design office qualified in CNG project engineering.

Designing and planning the installation of CNG infrastructures requires several phases in the following chronological order:

• size the quantity of natural gas needed to refuel the station and recharge CNG vehicles and store it on site;

• create the PID (pipe instrumentation diagram) of the plant in 2D and 3D, using software such as Autocad and SolidWorks, while incorporating safety aspects into the plant design;

• carry out civil engineering and electrical circuit design studies for the installation;
