An offshore wind farm generates several types of environmental impact, which we have attempted to summarize here. Given the current state of knowledge, the actual impacts have yet to be fully quantified. Every offshore wind farm project must be the subject of an environmental impact assessment, drawn up with site-specific considerations in mind. Only such a document can claim to cover all the points .
