Benchmarking; Benchmarking
In the context of nuclear reactor physics, the term "benchmark" initially refers to a reference experiment or modeled benchmark experiment, whose measurement results are interpreted by computer codes. Benchmarking is then understood as the exercise of comparing the results obtained from the calculation codes that have modeled the physical configuration of the benchmark with the measurement results of this same benchmark. By extension, experience can be replaced by a reference calculation.
