1. Driving procedures
Normal operation covers all normal plant operations (electricity production, unit shutdown and startup, fuel replacement, etc.), as well as the incidental operation of equipment making up a basic system. Normal operation is based on control room information (alarms, indicators, recorders), instructions and operator know-how.
These tasks are :
overall monitoring of the unit's parameters and the status of its various functions under steady-state conditions, by taking a number of readings;
actions to be carried out to change the state of the unit (e.g. from cold shutdown after recharging to full power); normal operating procedures are based on "top hat" procedures...
