LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy)
The average discounted cost of energy, calculated by dividing the sum of CAPEX and OPEX by energy production.
CAPEX (Capital Expenditures)
Refers to the initial investment, which includes the purchase and installation of all components (PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, wiring, land, etc.).
OPEX (Operating Expenses)
Refers to operating costs (monitoring, cleaning of modules, replacement of defective equipment, etc.). The energy output of a photovoltaic system takes into account day/night cycles, seasonal variations, weather variations (e.g., cloud cover), as well as system aging.
