1.1 Condensation coefficient
During condensation, the liquid is separated from the vapor by a liquid-vapor interface. Molecules coming from the vapor phase and impacting the liquid-vapor interface can either be absorbed by the liquid, or reflected at the interface and return to the vapor phase. Some liquid molecules leave the interface and are replaced by molecules from the vapor phase. The molecular effects of evaporation and condensation at interfaces are described by Ytrehus
