Grégorig proposes to use the pressure gradient generated by surface tension forces to reduce the thickness of the condensate film on a convex fin and thus improve heat exchange. Let $R_{x}^{*}$ be the radius of curvature of the interface at an abscissa x; then we have : $Δ p = \frac{σ}{R_{x}^{*}} \Rightarrow \frac{d p}{d x} = σ \frac{d}{d x} (\frac{1}{R_{x}^{*}})$
