2.1 Ideal binary mix

By definition, an ideal mixture is one in which interactions within the phase concerned are absent. The vapor phase is also referred to as a "perfect gas". The liquid-vapor equilibrium relationship of an ideal liquid-vapor "perfect gas" mixture obeys Raoult's law:
