2. Processing architecture
The processing architecture defines the modeling concepts to be applied in order to implement telecommunication or management services in TINA, and thus provides the basis for the other two architectures. This architecture also defines the Distributed Processing Environment (DPE), which provides the system infrastructure enabling objects to interact with each other seamlessly. These concepts are based on Open Distributed Processing (ODP). ODP is a standard for building any distributed system and is not specific to the world of telecommunications

. The aim of the TINA-C processing architecture is to refine and adapt the ODP standard so that it can be applied to telecommunication services in particular. Indeed, a telecom service is a distributed application that runs on the various nodes of a telecom network.
