6. Conclusion
QKD and QSC are the answers to the threat of quantum computers.
We know that we need to start migrating towards QSC and QKD and follow
standardization, research and innovation. The QKD certification initiated
by the ETSI ISG QKD standardization group strengthens the link between
theoretical proofs (ITS) of QKD robustness and practical realizations
of QKD networks containing construction limits. But, whatever the
technology employed, side-channels (human flaws, practical implementation
procedures) will remain the weak points of information systems security.
All the more reason to use quantum physics-based means (QKD) to exchange
ephemeral symmetrical keys (with a high level of random entropy) to minimize the risk of espionage.
