5. Distributed data localization

We'll now take a look at the restructuring of queries, taking into account the fragmentation of the database in a distributed context.

Let's assume that the ASSURES relationship is horizontally fragmented (fragmentation based on selection operations), as follows:

A1 : σ _{DPT < 31} (INSURED)

A2: σ _{DPT = 31} (INSURED)

A3: σ _{DPT > 31...}
