3. The current state of drone resilience
The UAVs currently produced do not, in general, offer a sufficient level of resilience to meet the challenges presented above, at least for the riskiest applications. Here, we look at some resilience elements that do exist today.
3.1 Presentation of a recent approach
Compared with the world of "traditional" aeronautics, the field of drones is "young". So everything remains to be written in terms of safety analysis. As you can guess, it's not enough to say that we need to draw inspiration from aeronautical safety approaches, while scaling them up to smaller aircraft, and therefore carrying more moderate risks.
