4. Orbital parameters
A Keplerian orbit is a conic whose focus is the main attracting body. The orbital parameters position this conic in a Galilean reference frame (OXYZ) linked to the attracting body. There are various ways of choosing the Galilean frame of reference and defining the orbital parameters.
Galilean frame of reference
No known reference frame is perfectly Galilean. In practice, it is possible to define quasi-galilean reference frames in which Newton's laws are verified with excellent accuracy. The choice of origin and axes depends on the motion under study, in particular the forces to be taken into account and the propagation time.
