3. Conclusion – a new paradigm

As things stand, a formal analysis allows us to make an initial factual comparison:

  • classic architecture :

    • separate lift/control/cabin functions,

    • intrinsic mechanical stability,

    • aisle cabin ;

  • flying wing :

    • functions integrated into a single structural element,

    • mechanical stability to be induced,

    • living space.
