1. Cauchy-Lipschitz theorem

The Cauchy-Lipschitz theorem helps us to identify the general results we can hope to apply to a differential equation. We first present the case of first-order scalar equations, which provides a simple visualization of the situation. The other cases are simply easy generalizations, or lead directly to them.
