2. Common spaces and problems

Let's start by looking at the vector spaces we encounter in numerical analysis and the problems we deal with.

These are the preferred spaces for numerical analysis, since any infinite-dimensional problem will have to be replaced by a finite-dimensional one. On the other hand, computers can only handle finite sets of numbers.
