Biomass; biomass

Biomass represents all organic matter. It is made up of living organisms and their residues, and always contains carbon.

Chlorophyll; chlorophyl

This pigment on plant cells is involved in photosynthesis to intercept light energy, the first step in converting this energy into chemical energy. Chlorophylls are composed of carbon and hydrogen atoms in variable proportions, 4 nitrogen atoms and one magnesium atom.
