3. Optical properties of aerosols

The optical properties of aerosols are responsible for a number of spectacular atmospheric phenomena, such as halos and coronas, rainbows and beautifully colored sunsets. They are also responsible for reducing visibility during periods of heavy atmospheric particulate pollution. And, based on them, we have developed powerful and particularly sensitive methods for measuring the concentration and granulometry of aerosols, such as optical particle counters
