6. Conclusion

The study we have just presented of gas-liquid flows is very limited, as their great variety and complexity do not allow for an extensive description in just a few pages. We have, however, chosen the examples in such a way as to show how general theorems can be linked to experiments to obtain suitable methods of analysis and prediction. However, we still rely heavily on experimentation to specify phenomenological laws that cannot be obtained using the basic formalism.
