The registration in the "Registre des Transporteurs et des Loueurs" (Register of Carriers and Hirers) is the official form of registration as a carrier or hirer of industrial vehicles with driver.
3.1 Company entry in the Register of Carriers and Hirers
Article 1 er of decree no. 99-752 of August 30, 1999 reiterates the requirement for companies to be listed in the "Registre des Transporteurs et des Loueurs" (Carriers and Hirers Register) "...kept by the prefect of the region where they are based..." and, more specifically, by the regional directorate of Public Works.
