The Internet of Things presents a broad spectrum of threats at all levels. In addition to the exploitation of application vulnerabilities via IP communications over the Internet, which have long targeted private individuals and corporate information systems, new attack vectors are increasingly being used. These include vulnerabilities in the many IoT radio protocols, both long-range and short-range, and attacks on hardware components embedded in objects. Because of the many interconnections and trust relationships that exist between the elements of IoT systems (objects, gateways, service platforms, information systems...), the compromise of one element in the chain can harm the whole.
