2. Organization of an additive filter

  • Kieselguhr filter components

    A Kieselguhr or other additive filter is always added (figure 8 b ):

    • a diatomaceous earth feeder with agitator and alluvial feed and metering pump, or two specialized pumps. There may also be two dosers, each dispensing a specific type of alluvium;

    • a filtration pump with a flow control valve (if the pump is a centrifugal pump);

    • a flowmeter ;

    • sample taps ;

    • high-point drain valves ;

    • a manhole for visualizing alluvial flow;

    • a look at the filtered liquid;
