1. Update on food-contact wood regulations

The body of regulations governing materials and articles in contact with food is made up of a framework regulation and regulations and directives specific to certain groups of materials.

If the regulations are applicable as they stand, each member state can transpose the European directives into its own decrees or laws, and can also, in the event of non-harmonization of European regulations, define national regulations.
