3.1 Situation

When it comes to building structures, the building material is the source of a very large number of liabilities.

Nonetheless, we can now say that it is tending to disappear, or at least to change form. In the case of reinforced concrete, for example, the "chemistry of the concrete material" has taken over, giving rise to new diseases that have become apparent in recent years.
