4. Conclusion

Characterization and control, like all other industrial operations, must have defined objectives, so that their cost does not unnecessarily burden production costs. Technically, tests must be adapted to the specific characteristics of plastics and the practical results expected.

The range of tests has been considerably broadened to meet the regulatory, technical, economic, commercial and environmental requirements of the various players - producers, transformers, designers, specifiers, molders, recyclers, buyers and users of plastic parts.
