Ailette; flight segment

Portion of screw thread between two interruptions in the mixing elements.

shape factor

Corrective factor used to take into account the fact that flow dimensions are not infinite. They exist for shear and pressure flows and are expressed as a function of the H/W ratio (channel depth/channel width). For more details, see [AM 3 650] .

Dispersive mixing

Mixing action to reduce the size of the phase to be dispersed.
