5.1 General classification of electromagnetic materials

Based on permittivity and permeability values, natural materials can be classified in a simplified table. This diagram is divided into 4 quadrants, with a small square in red (figure 7 ). The 4 quadrants are delimited by the signs for permeability and permittivity.
