Polycarbonates have very interesting properties for a wide variety of applications, including transparency, high gloss, aesthetic finish and impact resistance.
But for electrical applications, it's its electrical insulating properties that are appreciated.
In the field of lighting and optics, it provides good temperature (up to 125 ˚C) and UV resistance, as well as optical properties.
For packaging and kitchenware applications, polycarbonate complies with European food contact regulations and has excellent taste neutrality.
As far as health is concerned, it is highly resistant to temperature and can therefore be sterilized in an autoclave or by gamma radiation.
Finally, in the building sector, its transparency makes it ideal for heat production applications....
