The various PET films and sheets on the market differ in thickness, width, length, coil outside diameter and composition.
Thanks to their good thermomechanical, optical and electrical properties, they have found numerous applications in the electrical, electronics, audiovisual, graphic arts, office supplies, packaging and other industries.
4.1 Audiovisual
PET is the usual support for magnetic tapes. It is strong enough to withstand high recording speeds, and has the smooth, defect-free surface required for accurate, clear image and sound reproduction.
