3. Filament deposition
After melting, extruded filament deposition is an important step in the process. The shape of the filament determines the properties of the overall object. Incorrectly arranged strands can lead to adhesion problems and porosity, which can adversely affect mechanical properties. The morphology of freshly deposited filaments is therefore an important piece of information to know.
