1.1 Form of diffused intensity

To introduce the characteristics of neutron scattering, the simplest way is to write the intensity scattered by a solution of n polymer chains, each comprising N monomer units, in a volume V. Let I (q) be this scattered intensity per unit volume as a function of the scattering vector modulus expressed by :
