2. Applications/ markets

Traditionally, pultrusion offers two main product families:

• standard" profiles, with cross-sections familiar to all (tubes, I, H, U, etc.)

• made-to-measure" profiles (figure 10 ), in terms of both geometry and material formulation.

This is truly one of the great strengths of this technology/material pairing, compared to homogeneous and/or isotropic materials and competitors such as steel or aluminum profiles, or even wood or plastics.
