1.1 Installations

Here we describe some of the equipment used for the manufacturing processes described above (figure 1 ).

  • Blow-molding hollow bodies

The extruder produces a tube of plasticized material (parison) which is cut to the length corresponding to the height of the tooling, then enclosed in a 2-part mold; pressurized gas is blown inside to press the material against the surface of the impression and cool it.
