5. Conclusion

A major challenge is to enable designers and processors of composite parts to increase their technical expertise. In this context, mastery of the main principles governing the physical phenomena associated with composite molding is an invaluable aid in fine-tuning processes and understanding the origins of any drifts in production. These models make it possible to establish links between process control parameters and the geometric and physical characteristics of the parts manufactured.

This article illustrates the use of these models in different processes (LCM, RTM, LRI, compression, consolidation) where polymer flows and reinforcement deformations play a major role.
