5. Main PCL applications
Although the use of PCLs is limited today compared with traditional polymers such as PBT, PET, PC, polyamides, etc., their future is promising and their potential uses much broader than they appear, as demonstrated by the growing number of developments in more and more industries (see examples, figure 19 ).
Mass reduction, the miniaturization of devices (cell phones, PCs, printed circuits, halogen spotlights, ignition systems), the rise in temperatures induced by miniaturization (as in the case of exhaust gas recycling, for example), the increased aggressiveness of chemicals (mainly resulting from higher temperatures: what used to work at 130 C no longer necessarily works at 140 C or 150 C), and increased environmental protection are all factors behind the growing...

Production. Consumption
PCL's production capacity currently stands at around 20,000 tonnes, for a similar level of consumption.
The main producers are as follows.
The use of PCLs is growing rapidly (double-digit %) due to the evolution of technologies and environmental protection in most industries.
